We are getting ready for the presentation dinner, 'dressed tonimpress' and all that, but what I am really looking forward too..... A good nights sleep, in a propper bed, with no snoring or other unmentionable noises (from other tents!!) it's been 3 nights since 'we' had more than 4 hours sleep, & I just cannot survive on that little sleep anymore!!

Will post again after the, dinner presentation. ;0)

On the ferry

NEED some sleep !!!!!
Ferry running late, so not going to get into Holyhead until 01:40 at best, then we have to find our campsite and be ready to go by 08:30 in the morning.

Didn't touch the sides !!!!!!!!

Back to Dublin

Fantastics routes today around West Ireland, then lomg rin from Galway back to Dublin and the ferry to Holyhead.

The "Lake District" of Ireland is absolutely superb, the scenery is second to none, got to head out that way next time we're in Ireland.

Goodness knows what sort of position in the challenge we are. Having stopped to help a fellow competetor, we were too late to do a couple of sections of this afternoons stage, so have missed out on some potential points. But, you just can't pass a brokendown fellow competetor. Good to see they made it to the ferry under their own steam.

Off to the race course on Anglesey when get off the ferry arpind midnight tonight. Wonder what's in store for us tommorow.

Stunning Scenery!!!

Apparently we're heading back towards Dublin tomorrow, for a 21:15 ferry to Holyhead tomorrow night, then goodness knows what.

Will blog again sometime tomorrow, and will keep putting our location on from time to time.

2 hours & counting

Well 'we' are away, Team L200 is on the road. On our way to Britpart at Craven Arms in Shropshire.

Wednesday 2 March 2011

Ready to roll

Truck loaded, kit bag packed, I think we might be ready.
If it's not in, or been checked, it's too late now!

Just need to remember to load the navigator in the morning on the way to the start a Britpart, Craven Arms....

12 hours and counting.....

Well, that's me, work finished until Tuesday Morning. I am home washed, fed & ready for bed. All stuff checked & packed, just need the driver to pick me up in the morning and its 'wagons roll' or is that 'trucks roll' ?

'See' you all tomorrow. ;0)

Finished work

That's it, finished work and off home to load the truck.

Tuesday 1 March 2011

The last of the sorting out

Last day today, sorting stuff out. Why can you never find everything that's on the list? Assuming ofcourse, it's on the list in the first place!!!

Tomorrow evening will be spent packing the truck - hope it all fits, always take far too much "just in case" !!!

Monday 28 February 2011

2 days to the off

Well if it aint packed now it aint going !!

Nearly ready

Well, it's been a while since I put anyhting on here.

In the last couple of months, the truck has had a fair bit of work done on it.
Front diff, drive shafts, hubs, bearing, brakes etc... all chnaged.
Gearbox and transfer box changed.
Rear axle changed.

Other than that, not much been happening. Last few jobs getting done this week, and we'll be packing up on Wednesday eve, for the off on Thursday morning.

Really lookign forward to it now. A couple weeks ago, I was wondering if it's all worth it, when I couldn't trace a strange noise the truck was making. Now now what it is and can live with it.

Ofcourse, all the hard work and effort put into getting the truck ready is always going to be worth it - the money the event raises for the Macmillan Nurses is worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears.

Anyway, watch this space (save it as a favourite for the next few days and keep track of where we are and what we're up to.
